Eschatology

"...then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end."   Daniel 12:8-9

"But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night."   1 Thessalonians 5:1-2

"Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand."   Revelation 1:3

Eschatology has always been fascinating to me, it is in all practical sense, written history yet to be fulfilled. It is the study of last or final things; death, resurrection, judgment, the rapture, the millennium and eternity.

Though prophetic events were given to man, the understanding of them was "...closed up and sealed till the time of the end." However, with the advancement of technology has come a greater interest in Eschatology. Little wonder, since this was the clue given to Daniel of the end times, "...many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased"   Daniel 12:4.

Though libraries and bookstores are now filled with studies on Eschatology, they have availed little! Look around, the church is not ready for the end times. She is caught up in herself, not her Lord. May these studies serve as a warning.

I have prepared this eschatology study, not for knowledge of the mind, but for the heart. It is a warning, a preparation. Jesus said, "Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown"   Revelation 3:11.

With this in mind, "we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip." and "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."   (Hebrews 2:1  and  2 Timothy 2:15)

Below are a couple of interesting sites that deal with end time events, and though I do not agree with everything written, there are good resources for study purposes.

Classic Prophetic Words

I'm always very careful about prophetic words and dreams especially enlight of the flood of false prophecies coming out of the church today. However, I believe these prophecies, unlike most of what is given today, speak of repentance not prosperity, of holiness and not happiness, of impending judgment not easy believism. These prophecies may very well be worth your time to hearing out!

The 1965 Prophecy   by Stanley Frodisham
This prophetic word was spoken by Stanley Frodisham who was a personal friend of Smith Wigglesworth. It was given in Chicago in 1965 five years before he died.

George Washington's Vision
The father of our country, George Washington, was a man of prayer. Many of us have read of how he went to the thicket many times to pray during the winter his army was at Valley Forge. However, little publicity has been give to the vision and prophecy he received at that time.

A. A. Allen's Vision
One of the most 'famous' visions regarding the fall of America, received during the great American Healing Revival of the 1950's by one of the more prominent healing evangelists of that period, A. A. Allen. It is a bit long, but it is significant in light of the fact that God is again speaking to us again in many prophecies and visions lately about judgement coming upon America, and our need for repentance.
